Ebooks? No, thanks.

Nowadays, more and more fashionable is to use the ebooks. With these you can have access to many texts. You can find short texts and long ones too. And all these are as heavy as your portable equipment.

It's hard to disagree, but for me this is the only advantage of e-books.

I don’t like the electronic form of reading anything. First of all, I can’t focus on the content reading! Many of the facts after reading I don’t remember, because during the reading my thoughts are far far away from me. Often these texts are scans of the original (in case of texts useful for studies) and they really lose on their quality. I don’t like to strain eyes and wonder what is the last word on the bottom line.

When I read I like the feel when book is in my hands. Book doesn’t have to be the latest release, but when it is straight from the bookstore, it has particular smell  and if it isn’t damaged  it’s additional advantage . Also when I want to highlight something important or make a note in the text, the paper turns out to be useful.

Reading online is tiring, I feel pain when I read too long. When you read traditional books such symptoms  are rare.

Unfortunately I won’t follow the growing fashion of e-books. Environmentalists also won’t convince me, arguing that reading ebooks protect the environment. We don’t need to have in bookcase all the books since we have well-equipped urban libraries, which offer various book resources.

Definitely  I will not become a e-reader.

Good morning!

Hi everybody!
My blog is not dedicated to a specific subject I will try to write on various topics of interest to me. I study French philology at UAM in Poznan. On the first place I put French language, because it is very interesting and I really like it, but I want to continue learning English also. Taking this opportunity, that today is the womens' day I wish all women in particular my colleagues from the group and the teacher all the best during that day!
Greetings!
