Homemade solutions for flu

Winter is a time of numerous cases of flu. Illness caught up with me a few days ago. High temperature, cough, runny nose, body weakness and severe headache - there are my flu symptoms. Before I go to the doctor, always trying to cure home solutions which I found at the Internet:

Swish and spit. Gargling with salt water helps get rid of the thick mucus that can collect at the back of the throat, especially after you've been lying down. It can also help ease stuffy ears.

Make a tent. Need a quick way to open clogged airways? Bring a pot of water to a boil and remove it from the heat. Drape a towel over your head, close your eyes, and lean over the water under the “tent,” breathing deeply through your nose for 30 seconds. David Kiefer, MD, clinical instructor of family medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, recommends adding a drop or two of peppermint or eucalyptus oil to the water for extra phlegm-busting power. Repeat this as often as necessary to ease congestion.

Drink water with honey and lemon.

Lots of rest and don't overdo.

Everything should pass after a few days.

My little obsession

I know a lot of girls, for whom the nails become a real obsession. For me, the nails is also an important aspect. To have  nails healthy and strong, I use a variety of conditioner and serum. I really like to paint my  nails with dark colors.  I will never convince the artificial nails. For me, they are a reflection of baloney and kitsch.  Here are a few colors that charmed me. Do you like any ?

My favorite place for a night out

A few months ago with my friends, I discovered a great place at the Old Market. This is  music club The Atmosphere. The club is relatively new, it works for half a year. At the top there is a bar with seating and good music in the background. At the bottom is the music scene, and a lot of space for dancing and fun. Several times a week have a place interesting concerts known on the Polish market teams. After each concert fun  is continues. In my opinion, there are organized the best disco in town.Apart from wonderful design of the club, there's played my favorite music, rock. When you do not know what to do in a free Saturday night, go to the Atmosphere.  Is waiting for you there dose of positive energy and music , you can dance the all night.

The best pancakes in town

Manekin- is the name pancake house Floral Street in Poznan. This inconspicuous but quite large and interestingly decorated restaurant with an extensive menu. There you can eat pancakes sweet and salty. I ordered a savory pancake with pieces of chicken. I was surprised at the size of this dish. Pancake was so big that it barely ate a whole. But he was extremely delicious. I can definitely recommend this restaurant. There is a friendly and professional service. And most importantly, the prices are not exorbitant. For 20 you can eat very decent meal.

Amazing song - Take me to church

Whenever I hear this song makes me shiver. I started to listen to it before it became popular and loved by the people. The whole album of this singer is very atmospheric and worth hearing. But this song has gained fans and has become a hallmark of the artist. Listen and give a moment of pleasure.

My lover's got humour
She's the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody's disapproval
I should've worshipped her sooner
If the heavens ever did speak
She's the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday's getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week
We were born sick
You heard them say it
My church offers no absolutes
She tells me worship in the bedroom
The only heaven I'll be sent to
Is when I'm alone with you
I was born sick but I love it
Command me to be well
Amen, amen, amen

Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

If I'm a pagan of the good times
My lover's the sunlight
To keep the goddess on my side
She demands a sacrifice
Drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That's a fine looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We've a lot of starving faithful
That looks tasty, that looks plenty
This is hungry work

Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

No masters or kings when the ritual begins
There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin
In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene
Only then I am human, only then I am clean
Amen, amen, amen

Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

End of the semester is always a very intense time for students. We all feel the "breath" of the upcoming sessionof the examination. For many there are  sleepless nights among piles of spaced around the bed or desk books.
But you can't fall into obsession, even in such a difficult time. Everyone deserves a little pleasure or entertainment.
On Thursday, after the last exam I decided together with my friends from the group to go to a restaurant for the best pancakes in Poznan and then we went bowling. We played a great and fun time spent together. After this meeting, I felt very relaxed
and for a moment I forgot with difficult period at the university. Pre made an appointment next week to repeat this amazing time and even better to know each other.
Who doesn't like tea? It's a special drink with many properties. Recently I discovered my favorite tea. This green tea with jasmine. It is delicious! Very delicate and tastes great after a big meal. Besides, green tea is known for its mitigation nerves properties. It is ideal after a hard day at the university.

Jasmine (taxonomic name Jasminum /ˈjæsmɨnəm/)[5] is a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family (Oleaceae). It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperate regions of the Eurasia, Australasia and Oceania. Jasmines are widely cultivated for the characteristic fragrance of their flowers. A number of unrelated plants contain the word "Jasmine" in their common names (see Other plants called "Jasmine").

Relax

Who among us doesn’t like  eating well? I don’t know anyone who would refuse a good meal. Even if you are on a diet, don’t worry. You can prepare a true two-hour feast of French cuisine and ... don’t consume even a single calorie!

Recently I had the opportunity to watch a movie  "Julie and Julia," directed by Nora Ephron, based on the book by Julie Powell „ Julie and Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, 1 Tiny Apartament Kitchen” filmed in 2009.  It presents  the life of American chef Julia Child, (played by Meryl Streep) and  an unfulfilled writer Julie Powell (Amy Adams), who decides to change her life and in  one year  prepare all the 524 dishes from the book of Julia Child.

There were many aspects that have prompted me to choose this particular film. First of all, the French thread. As a student of French language and a great lover of French culture, I was delighted with scenes recorded in Paris. Moreover, the cast. Invaluable Meryl Streep, a living legend of the cinema. Great actress, the  leading lady of many iconic roles. In the movie "Julie and Julia" she  played at the side of  Stanley Tucci (her film husband’s Paul)).  Actors had met before filming "The Devil Wears Prada".

The main character of Julie is  a 30 year old woman living with her husband in a small apartment above a pizzeria. Frustrated  with her present life, she  decides to make a change.  She throws a challenge for a year, following the example of Julia Child’s cookbook, to prepare all  the 524 dishes. For self-mobilization, for the purposes of this project  she writes  a culinary blog, in which she honestly describes each  prepared dish. Her life is  gathering pace when Julie’s blog is gaining ever-more and more  of readers, including some  influential people from  the culinary industry. The protagonist spends more and more time practicing her  passion and neglects her husband. This leads to the first major crisis in their marriage, the man moves out.

Will Julie improve the relationship with her husband? Will she complete her 1 year project to the end? If you want to know the answers to these and other questions I strongly encourage  you to watch the movie.

In the film,we in feet deal with two plots. It felt like watching two movies combined into one. One  tells the story of  Julia Child,  who lives  in post-war France and learns to cook to fill her free time. Thanks to her passion she becomes a recognized cooker and  after years of struggle  she  release her own  cookbook. The second story is dedicated to Julie, who wants to change her life. It's quite an interesting idea, but at the beginning I had difficulty in finding myself in the story.

"Julie and Julia" is one of those movies that is worth seeing on a  slow, lazy Saturday afternoon. It is light and really nice, especially when at the  screen appears the character played by Meryl Streep. You can enjoy the beautiful views of Paris and learn a few  cooking tricks  or recipes.
